Thrasher, Joyce Houston, 84, of Oak Ridge, passed away June 22, 2013. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Powell where she was active in the choir, Sunday school and many other activities. Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles L. Houston; second husband, W.T. Thrasher; brothers, Jordan Johnson and Bill Johnson; and grandson, Charlie Houston. She is survived by her sons, Steve Houston and wife Anne, Curt Houston and wife Jeannie; grandchildren, Matt and fiance Ashley, Michelle and special friend Jose, Christina, Rob, Kelly and husband William, Emily and husband Kel; great grandchild, Keatyn; brothers, Don Johnson and wife Linda, Harry Johnson. Family will be receiving friends Monday, June 24, 2013, from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a 7:00pm funeral service at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel, 160 Edgemoor Rd., Claxton. Burial will be Tuesday, 10:00am at Highland Memorial Park, Kingston Pike in Knoxville. Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, Claxton, is honored to serve the Houston Family.
