June Jones McClain, age 97 of Powell, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 17, 2026. She was a long-time employee of the University of Tennessee Book and supply store, retiring from there after 25 years of service. June loved to sew and embroider and was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church in Powell.
June was preceded in death by her husband Harley McClain; her parents Bass and Verna Jones; sisters Martha Jean Price and Evelyn Harrison; brothers, Kermit Jones and Ben Jones; daughter Janice McLean and son-in-law John McLean; and a niece and two nephews. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn McClain, along with three nieces and two nephews and their families. The family will have a graveside service on January 22, 2026 at 2:00 pm to be officiated by Pastor Josh Coffelt at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Rd. Powell, TN 37849
