Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Jones, 60, of Powell, TN, went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 19, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Knoxville in 1957, Ken was the son of the late James Hubert Jones & Eleanor Sue Lynch Jones. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as a medical administration specialist in Turkey and New Hampshire. Through the many years he struggled with heart failure, Ken bore all the pain & suffering he endured with great forbearance. He was a humble, kind hearted, loving husband, Daddy, and Papaw. His loss will be forever felt by the ones who loved him the most, especially his caregivers, his wife and son, who did everything possible to make Ken''s life a little easier.
Also preceding him in death was his Father-in-Law, Thomas L. Stephens; and his nephew, Joshua Jones.
Survivors include the love of his life and wife of 32 years, Katherine Stephens Jones; his son Aaron Thomas James Jones & wife Cynthia; his grandson Gage Alexander Jones; his mother Eleanor; ; his brother David; his mother-in-law Girleane Stephens; three sister-in-laws and their husbands, Pat & Bobby Duncan, Mary & Hemandra Desai, and Jolene & Denny Styles; and numerous extended family members.
Ken''s wish was cremation and to later be interred with his bride, Katherine. A Celebration of Life will be announced later.
In lieu of flowers any gifts may be given to his family to aid in expenses, are humbly and gratefully appreciated.
Giving all the Glory, Honor and Praise to the Most High King for granting us the privilege of having this man in our lives, and for granting him to go peacefully at home with family by his side, we give Thanks.
Luke 1:46-47, "And Mary said, my soul doth magnify the Lord and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior."
Rev 21:4, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away."
