Lubthisophon, Kenneth Steven, age 55 of Powell, TN, went into the arms of the Lord August 13,2014. Ken was born January 5,1959 in San Fransisco, CA to, Chudet "Charles" and Isabel Lubthisophon. Later that year, the young family would move to Denver, CO. Over the next ten years, the family would expand to include two sisters, Vicky and Kimberly and three brothers Paul, Jeff and Richard. Ken would begin his education at Ellis Elementary School where he attended kindergarten before continuing his education at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School. While at St. Vincent''s, Ken served as an alter boy in addition to participating in the Great Books program. He was also a member of the Highlander Boys; a patriotic youth organization. In 1972 the family moved to Lakewood, CO where Ken attended Bear Creek High School. After graduating Bear Creek in 1977 he attended Colorado State University. He then went on to be employed by AMAX Incorporated, Rockwell International at the Rocky Flats Nuclear Plant and Y12 Oak Ridge; where he was currently employed. Ken was a member of St Albert the Great Catholic Church. He honored to be a member of the Knights of Columbus and he also enjoyed being a part of the Patriot Riders and Goldwing''s group. Ken was preceded in death by his father Chudet "Charles" Lubthisophon. He is survived by his mother Isabel Lubthisophon; his loving wife of 26 years Carolyn F. Lubthisophon; children; he loved as his own, Jason E. Smith and Shawna M. Smith; brothers Paul V. Lubthisophon, Jeff Lubthisophon, and Richard D. Lubthisophon; sisters Victoria T. Lubthisophon and Kimberly A. Carlson. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Albert the Great, 7200 Brickey Ln, Knoxville, TN 37918 Thursday August 28, 2014 at 11:00am and a Visitation will be held at Woodhaven Mausoleum, 160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN 37849 from 2:00pm-5:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Knights of Columbus and to a memorial for Ken.
