LEROY 'BONES' OWNBY – passed away on November 18, 2022, in the arms of his daughter, Connie, and the love of his life, Joan.

Leroy was of Baptist faith and is proceeded in death by his parents, Claude and Eunice, and brother Verlas Ownby.

Survived by daughters, Connie (Allen) Gilland, Crystal (Scott) Goodrich, brothers, Larry (Kim) Ownby, Donnie Lynn (Karen) Ownby, sister-in-law, Stella Ownby, grandsons, Josh (Brandy) Gilland, Andrew Phillips, Cory Phillips, Christopher Denney, Austin Denney, mother of his children, Brenda Ford, best friends, Mike Eldgidge and Ronnie Wilson, special cousin, Babe Lawson.

The family will receive friends in the chapel at Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 5-7pm with a funeral service to follow, officiated by Pastors Jim Branum and Ira Lumpkin (160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849)

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 11am, at Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers Larry Ray and Donny Lynn Ownby, Babe Lawson, Verlin Ownby, Buddy Lawson and Tony Ownby.

The family wishes to extend a heart-felt thank you to Jessica and Lisa at Foothills Transitional Care in Maryville. Their kindness and compassion have been a blessing throughout this difficult time.
