Lonzie Patterson, 91, of Knoxville, TN.,  passed away Wednesday morning, August 1, 2018 at his residence.  Lonzie was born on June 29, 1927 to Ottie and Leoman Carter Patterson in Oliver Springs, TN.

In earlier years he worked as an Electrical Supervisor for Martin Marietta.  Lonzie was a very hard worker and enjoyed traveling.  He loved his church and was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorthy and mother to his daughters, wife Rachel and mother to his son, sisters Virgie, Mary, Margie, and a brother June.

His is survived by his wife Sue Patterson, two daughters Patty Boyd and Diana (Louis) Booher, son Steve Long, two step daughters Dana Franklin and Taynia Thornton, two brothers Jimmy Patterson and Buford Patterson, very special friends Dale and Wanda Hobbs, and a host of friends and relatives.

Visitation will be Friday, August 3, 2018 from 5:00pm-7:00pm, with the Funeral Service beginning at 7:00pm.  Pastor Todd Stinett and Pastor Robbie Leach will officiate.  The Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 1:00pm.  All services are at Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849.
