Day, Mae West Reed, age 96 of Claxton passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009 at Northhaven Health Care Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her parents; Samuel & Bertie West. Sons; Leroy Reed and Billy Day. Great-Grandson; Seamus Reed. Sister & Brother-in-law; Dora and Charlie Davis. Infant brother; Kyle West. Husbands; Sam Reed and William Day. She is survived by Son; Sam Reed and Wilda of Smyrna. Daughter-in-law; Donna Reed of Haysville Kansas. 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-great-Grandchildren. Nieces; Hylda Glandon, Janine & Brooke Hagan all of Claxton. Dawn Wright of Florida. Nephew; Zane Wright of Florida. Many special cousins and 3 special friends, Helen Beckner, Stella West and Mattie Sims. A very special thankyou to the staff at Northhaven. The family will receive friends from 6pm til 8pm on Monday, December 7, 2009 at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel in Claxton with an 8pm service. Rev. Harold Olge and Rev. Larry Hewitt officiating.
