Margaret Elizabeth Martin 86 of Powell, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024. She enjoyed music, reading, old movies, and good friends. She was a retired teacher of 30 years, having taught in Anderson, and Knox county schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years; Herbert Hoyt Martin, father; Hiram (Red) Mathews, mother; Jewel (Hubbard) Mathews, brother; Hiram Mathews.
She is survived by her sons; Herbert E. (Anita) Martin, Robert N. (Tracye) Martin, sister; Ruth Lester Spence, brother; Bernie Wayne Mathews, grandchildren; Jarrett Martin, Ashlee (Ronald) Campbell, Logan Martin, Eli Martin, great grandchildren; Averie Campbell, Rhett Campbell, along with many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Monday April 29, 2024 at Woodhaven Funeral Home in Powell from 11am to 1pm with a graveside service to follow at Woodhaven Memorial Garden Cemetery.
