Thomas, Martin Lee, age 76, of Lenoir City, passed away, Monday, August 23, 2010, at Fort Loudoun Medical Center. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Lenoir City, a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War, but most of all, a very loving father and grandfather. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Hackler Thomas; brother, Charles Thomas; sisters, Anna Kate Elliott and June Parrott. He is survived by his daughters, Martie Bivens (Billy), Patricia Russell (Justin); step-children, Kelli Watkins (Ron), Jeff Monger (Robin); grandchildren, Syeira, Garrett, Brandy, James, Jacob, Josh, Nick, Matt; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Katelyn; sisters, Sweetie and Betty; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6-8, Wednesday, August 25, at Second Baptist Church of Lenoir City, with funeral services following at 8 pm, with Preacher Jr. Smith and Pastor Shane Williams, officiating. Interment will be Thursday, August 26, at 2pm with Military Honors provided by Volunteer State Honor Guard at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Claxton. Pallbearers will be Jeff Monger, Ron Watkins, Josh Gardner, Jacob Gardner, Nick Collins, Glenn Monger. Honorary pallbearer, Leroy King.
