IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Alice
Mcbee
October 19, 1951 – August 29, 2025
We are sad to announce the passing of Mary McBee on August 29, 2025, at the age of 73. Mary Alice McBee (Lawless) was preceded in death by her parents Lucy and Roy Lawless, her brother Jerry Lawless, and nephew Anthony Baird.
Mary Alice, as most of her family called her, loved the more simple things in life- spending time with family, the sun on her face, gardening and watching what she planted come to life. Mary was a devoted Christian. She found enjoyment watching church services on T.V. or listening to gospel music.
Mary found great pleasure in shopping as well and always stayed in the latest fashion. Mary loved being a grandmother. Whether it was taking them to the park or finding a way to always buy them something new, she took great pride being able to love them and give to them.
Mary needed and wanted something that was just hers. She loved painting and creating something from nothing. She gave endless hours into this passion and eventually it paid off. People started wanting some specific things that only she made. It is nice to think that some of her art might be still out there in people's homes.
Mary did her best in life. She did what she could to love and enjoy her life. Her imprint will always leave its mark on the people she loved.
Mary Alice leaves behind her Daughters and their partners: Christy (Henry) Williams and Jennifer McBee (with Gregory Powers). Grandchildren: Lance Strickland, Joshua McBee (with Yahara McBee), Skylar Strickland, Lydia McBee, Brooklyn Williams and Great Grandchild: Raziel McBee. Survived also by sister Jane Baird, Mary's niece and nephews and several cousins and family that loved her.
I will leave you with this quote: Say not in grief that she is no more, but say in thankfulness that she was. A death is not the extinguishing of a light butthe putting out of the lamp. Because the dawn is near. - Rabindranath T.
