Mary L. Starks-Jenkins

Antioch, Tn. – Mary L. Starks-Jenkins, age seventy-eight of Antioch, Tennessee. passed away Friday, October 30, 2020. Born in Cumberland, Kentucky preceded in death by her parents, James and Nellie Powell of Clinton, Tennessee.

Mary spent over fifty years in the medical field. She loved her profession, taking ultimate pride in making friendships with her patients that lasted a lifetime.

Residing in Leesburg, Florida over 20 years, she was a member of Celebration of Praise in Clermont, Florida where she served on various women's ministries including the Welcoming Committee and usher duties. Mary was a member of the International Red Hat Ladies Society. The delightful mix of wonderful, caring women made way for great fellowship and long-lasting friendships.

Mary later moved to Antioch, Tennessee with her late husband James T. Jenkins.

Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Monica Starks of Tampa, Florida; John (Perry) and Dorothy Starks of Antioch, Tennessee; one sister, Brenda (Tom) Yehl; niece, Sandra ( Terry) Garland; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two sisters- Reba and Joanne, two, brothers – James and John, Mary cherished her family relationships with cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Loved by all, Mary has touched the heart of many and will remain in our hearts FOREVER. She will truly be missed.

Due to the safety and concern for others, a private service and graveside ceremony will be for immediate family only.

Ceremony will be at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, Powell, TN.
