Matthew Brian Huskey, of Knoxville, TN, 39, went to see Jesus, Monday, January 15, 2018. Matthew was born in Knoxville on November 4, 1978 to Larry & Karen Huskey. Matthew went to Webb High School where he was a 3-Sport Athlete. He had several special friends and teammates from football, baseball, and basketball. He was honored with the Spartan Award in all three sports his senior year, at Webb High School. In 1996 he was named MVP after Webb HS won the State Championship in Football. After graduating from Carson-Newman University, Matthew made a career for himself in the Distribution & Manufacturing Industry. When away from work, Matthew loved to spend quality time with his family. Whether it''s playing videogames with his son or helping his daughter paint her nails, or taking them fishing, Matthew was a great Daddy. He attended Powell United Methodist Church. Matthew was a big Vols Fan and Chicago Cubs fan.
Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Ed Spears and Frank & Doris Huskey; great-grandmother Lucille; and his Uncle, Teddy Wayne Myers.
He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Angela Huskey; his children, Cash & Bonnie Huskey; parents, Larry & Karen Huskey; brother, Brandon Huskey; his niece Caitlin Huskey; Aunt Vicky Myers, Uncle Steve Spears, Aunt Jan Huskey White, Aunt Beth Huskey Bailey and Aunt Terry Huskey Manning; Mamaw Spears; and several other friends and family.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 11:00am - 1:00pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN, with Brooke Hartman officiating. Interment will immediately follow the Funeral Service at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers include, Whitfield Bailey, Hal Bibee, Jr., Brendon Wright, Graham Hunter, Nick McCarley, Bo Fulk, Chris Carini, Darrin White, Eric Brewer, Tee Cleveland and Greg Horner.
