MICHAEL LANE HARMON, age 65, of Anderson County, TN passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.  He left this world knowing he was loved and cherished by many.

Michael was born on Friday, December 27, 1957, in Corbin Kentucky.  He is the son of Betty Lane Witt and the late Charles William Harmon.  Michael is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Donny Witt.

Michael is survived by his husband, Kenneth Daniel Branscum, mother, Betty Lane Witt, brothers Donny Witt II (Ginny Day), Charles William Harmon II, Dr. Keith Kevin Harmon, sisters, Sandy Harmon, Kimberly Harmon Johnson, and Joy Harmon; 24 nieces and nephews and 28 great-nieces and nephews.

Michael was a kind soul, a man of faith.  He treasured his family and his friends.  He was a huge animal enthusiast and cared for his fur-children – sometimes better than he cared for himself.  As the General Manager for Sonic Drive-In, he lead the way to new and innovative restaurant operations and was recognized for his dedication in 2019 for having the number one store in the country.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held at Briar Creek Park in Williamsburg, Kentucky, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 2:30pm.  All are welcome to attend.
