Michael Houston Sands, 54, of Claxton, TN went to join this earthly father, as well as his Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 30, 2017 after a long losing battle with cancer. He was a member of Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Michael was a mechanic by trade. He loved to work on the job and at home on various mechanical projects.
Michael is preceded in death by his father Houston Monroe Sands.
He is survived by his faithful loving wife, Debbie; devoted sons and daughter-in-laws, Joe & Miranda Sands and Travis & Cindie Sands; his grandson Savion Sands; his mother Shirley; his sister and brother-in-law Cheryl & Jay Anglin; his brothers Marion and Robert and his wife Julie; Special father & mother-in-law, Gary & Judy Johnson; his nieces and nephews, Jason and James Maples, Cory, Troy, Nikki, Emma, Aerielle and Chloe Johnson, and Autumn and Serena Williams; several great nieces & nephews; his special friend Riccilynn Hembree and other family members.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 2nd from 4-6pm with a service to follow at 6pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Road, Claxton, TN 37849. Graveside will be held Monday, April 3, 2017 at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Cemetery; where Rev. Leland Mayfield will officiate.
