Nina Joan Gault, age 82 of the Claxton community, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2018 surrounded by family at her home in Anderson County.  Nina was a loving, generous, and kind woman that always put others before herself.  She was a gifted homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and family trips to the beach.  She had a wit and humor that could always lift your spirit.  Nina was passionate about hosting family gatherings and honoring the traditions that have been passed down for generations.  She dedicated her life to caring for others and was faithful in her love for the Lord.

Nina was like a mother and grandmother to so many.  She had a special way of truly making everyone feel at home whether it be a stranger, a friend, or family.  She never allowed anyone to leave her home without a full belly and leftovers to take with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Gault (C.H.); parents, Carl & Ruby Johnson, father & mother-in-law, Clarence & Flora Gault; brother, Ronald Johnson; son-in-law, Dennis Fraker.

She is survived by her children: Francie Gault, Eddie Gault, & Connie Fraker; grandchildren, Gregory & wife Kathryn Greene, Heidi & husband Eric Davis, Travis & wife Kaitlin Greene, Candice Greene, Shannon Edmonds, & Courtney Fraker; great grandchildren, Anna, Halle, & Marshall Greene; Beck & Lana Davis; Grady & Everett Greene; brothers, Larry & wife Nancy Johnson, Stanley & wife Rosa Lee Johnson; sister-in-laws, Nell Johnson, Allie Harrington, Elsie McCarthy, Beverly & husband Herschel Disney; brother-in-law, Frank & wife Brenda Gault; close friends, Jerry & Peggy Pressnell and all of the extended family she cherished so dearly.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Rd. Powell, TN 37849. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Hewitt officiating. Burial will be held Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodhaven Memorial Garden.
