On Saturday, December 5, 2020, Patricia Hope Hoffmeister, loving wife and mother passed away due to complications from Covid-19 at 74 at Maple Court Senior Living in Powell, TN.  Pat was born on January 31, 1946 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Samuel and Naomi (Lintz) Hope.  She graduated from Fulton High School and received a degree in elementary education from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville in 1968.  On September 11, 1965, she married John Allan Hoffmeister.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed volunteering in the schools.  They raised a son, Ken, and a daughter, Jennifer.  She was a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Naomi and her infant brother Richard.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John, their children, Ken (Michelle) Hoffmeister and Jennifer Welch and their grandchildren: Justin, Jordan (Blake), Daniel, Jake, Ian, and Michael and special friends Bart Welch and Lindsay Hackworth.  The family wishes to thank the amazing staff of Maple Court Senior Living for its loving care and the caregivers from Smoky Mountain Hospice.

She worked as a volunteer in the schools attended by her children and on the board of the PTA for those schools.  Her dedication to the schools was recognized with a Lifetime Membership in the PTA. She thoroughly enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and loved any opportunity to be with each of them.  She was an avid reader and cross-stitcher.  She enjoyed traveling, having been to 44 states and Mexico, as well as England, France, Switzerland and Italy.  She especially enjoyed traveling to Disney World with her family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery. Due to concerns about COVID, the family respectfully requests that anyone who attends wear a face covering and practice social distancing as requested by Greenwood Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Tennessee, Inc., 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 or online at https://www.alztennessee.org/give/donate-now .
