Sands, Paul Webber, age 60, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and a Veteran serving with the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Sands is preceded in death by his wife, Sherri Jean; parents, Perrie Otto and Virginia Sands; brother, Henry Sands; uncle, Earl Webber. He is survived by his sons, Perrie Sands and wife Sarah of Harriman and Robert Sands of Rockwood; foster-daughter, Gail Mayfield and husband Leland of Norris; brother, Charles Sands and wife Etta of Rutledge; sister, Mary Jane York and husband Stan of Clinton; special nieces and nephews, Dawn, Angie, Ashley, and Ricky Owens; special cousin, Ruthie Buffalo. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 15 from 7-8pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 16, at 10:30 am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gene Hale, officiating. Pallbearers are, Tommy Owens, Stanley York, Ricky Owens, Monty York, Jay Metcalf and Jay Gregory.
