Phillip Randall Cockrum Sr. went home peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 with his daughter Miranda by his side. He was born June 9, 1951 to Arlander and Bytha Cockrum. He was an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam era. He loved working in his yard and doing DIY projects. He had a big heart and would help anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Arlander and Bytha Cockrum, son; Phillip Randall Cockrum Jr., and 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

He is survived by his daughters; Miranda (Brad) Brakebill, Cammey Cockrum of Sweetwater, TN, Jennifer (Kris) Darland of Madison, TN, and Julie (Chris) Freeman of Atlanta, GA, 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM at Woodhaven Funeral Home at 160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN. There will be a military honors service on December 6, 2023 at 10 AM at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery located on Gov. John Seiver Highway.
