Robert Ray Dixon, 53, of Claxton, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 13, 2015. He was a longtime resident of Claxton, Tennessee and native of Newport, Tennessee.
Robert left behind his wife Peggy; son Matthew; daughters Jessica, Shannon and Misty; his mother Fay, his daddy Sooney; his brother and sister Frank and Melissa; his Aunt Arzetta; a special mention to friend Peanut; along side countless faithful brothers and sisters in Christ.
Robert loved kids and enjoyed being Santa Claus for years at a local daycare. He loved people in general, as he knew no strangers. He was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in January 1996. He was very proud of this, and honored it by always being a witness to others, especially after he became so sick. He never worried about things as he said he had faith in God to take care of things. He had a great sense of honor, big wide grin, and loved Gospel music and his country, in that order. Robert was and still is an inspiration to us all and will forever be in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 17, 2015, starting at 6:00 PM at New River of Life Church.
