Roger Steven Ward 79 of Powell, It is with great sadness that he passed away peacefully at home on November 20 2024, surrounded by his friends and family.
Roger was born on December 8, 1944. He was a loving husband to Wilma Ward for 60 years. He was a loving father to 3 children plus 1 special adopted daughter. Annette Ward Dunlap, Vicki Ward (Gary Sr.) Lively,William Brian (Anna) Ward, Judy Wiliams. Loving grandfather of 13, Brandon Dunlap, Gary (Cheyanne) Lively Jr., Johnathon (Laura) Lively, Melissa (Van) Whitmire, Tabatha (Matt) Lively, William (Brianna) Ward Jr. Steven (Alleeah) Ward, Michelle Ward, Brad (Heather) Phillips, Jason (Megan) Abel, Jacob (Brianna) Able, Lelar (Jody) Royston, Elie Phillips, and 16 great grandkids: Bella lively, Gateigh Lively III, Ricky Whitmire, Jr., Adam Whitmire, Havana Whitmire, Selena Kinsey, Mickey Lively, Iris, one on the way, Averie Roach, Kaiden Worsham, Jace Gentry, Lexi, Claire York, Kimmie, and Lee (bubba).
He was survived by his wife; Wilma Ward and three children; Annette Ward Dunlap, Vicki Ward (Gary Sr.) Lively, William Brian (Anna) Ward, special daughter; Judy Williams. 13 grandkids (Listed Above), 16 geat grandkids (Listed Above), sisters: Linda (Bill) McDermont, Betty (Don) Dahl, Kathy (joe) Mendola, brothers: Tommy Jerry Ward, Randy Ward, along with tons of nieces and nephews and lots of family and best friend Terry Lay who was like a brother.
Preceded in death by his father; Tommy Ward, mother; Azalee Wilson, sisters; Sharon Ward, Joyce Ward, Lisa Morrin, Jane Moore, Pat Robinson, Brothers; Bill Ward, Gregory Ward, Wayne Ward, Butch Ward, Jeff Ward, and Robert Ward.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday Noverber 26, 2024 at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell at 2:00pm.
