Royce Bryan Davis, 78, of Knoxville, TN passed away at home surround by family on Tuesday evening, July 19, 2016. Sgt 1st Class Royce Davis retired from the Army after 21 years where he served as a Combat Medic. While in the Army he completed several tours including Germany, Korea and three tours in Vietnam. After he retired from the Army, at Fort Benning, in 1977; Royce started his second career as a Butcher. Royce was honored to be a Mason with Scottish Rite and to be a member of the American Legion, and AMVETS. Among his hobbies his two favorite were traveling and shopping.
Royce was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Madeline Davis; and his brother, Earl Davis.
He is survived by his loving wife Diane Davis; his son Hugh (wife) Davis; three step children, Pat Deerr of Myerstown, PA, Jay Besser of Beaumont, TX, and Ken Coward; his grandchildren Daniel & Charlie Deerr, Tyler Besser, Gillian & Delaney Davis, and Carrie & Bryan Coward; two sister-in-laws and their husbands, Cathy & Bill Walker, and Mary & Lynwood Dalton; and many others.
Graveside will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Carroll Memory Gardens, 914 Stripling Chapel Road, Carrollton, GA 30116.
