Ruth Ann Carpenter (Johnson), a devoted member of Brewers Chapel Baptist Church, passed away on October 15, 2024, after a lengthy battle with dementia. Born on May 4, 1938, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Carpenter, her favoite Son- in-Law Steve Allen and several family members. Survivors include her daughters, Patti Wilson Allen and Krisann Preston, as well as three step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandsons. Ruth Ann will be laid to rest at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton, TN, on October 23, 2024. She had a long career at Ortec in Oak Ridge, TN, and enjoyed various hobbies, including gardening, preserving, crocheting, quilting, reading, race cars and other  sports, particularly UT football and baseball. She also cherished her farm animals, cats, and beloved Chihuahuas, Mimi and Oscar.
