Samuel Ivan Pendleton, 89, of Knoxville, TN, passed peacefully September 4th 2016 surrounded by family. He was a faithful member of the Central Church of God, a veteran of the U S Navy, and loved by all. Preceeded in death by his wife Norma Pendleton, parents Charlie and Cora Pendleton, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
He was survived by his daughters, Sandra Sampson, Peggy Bucker, Lyvonne Lewis, son-in-law Wayne Lewis, grandchildren Gina Bearley, Chris Lewis, Jim Wooliver, and April Mtier, 6 great-grandchildren and sister Marie Carr.
The family will receive friends on Thursday September 8th from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Central Church of God at 4721 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, TN with funeral service following with Pastor Jack Dean officiating. Graveside services will be held at Bradford Daniels Cemetery in Rose Hill, VA on Friday September 9th at 11:00 am. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home and Parkwest Medical Center.
