Teddy Wayne Myers, of Powell, TN was 62 when he went home to his Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 20, 2016. He was surrounded by family when he passed. He graduated from Powell High School, Class of ''71. He proudly served his county in the US Army as a mechanic. Ted retired from TVA after 30 years where he was a boilermaker and inspector. He enjoyed golf, guns & Harleys. It was his Baptist faith that defined Ted. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore & Della Myers; Father-in-Law Charles Spears; sister and brother-in-law Linda & Chuck Nelson; his nephew Jerry Ray Myers Jr. and niece Rhonda Myers.
Ted is survived by his wife, soul mate and best friend of 44 years Vicky Myers,; daughter Tonya (Ken) Wilde, son Teddy "Stumpy" Myers Jr; his three grandsons Zachary Ellison, Riley Wilde and Keaton Wilde; 10 siblings Jerry, Larry, Ralph, Norma, Sharon, Brenda, Darrell, Jeanette, Connie, and Mike; mother-in-law Evelyn Spears; many other family members; plus Ted''s special friend Garry "Stick" Nelson and his TVA Family.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN. Service will follow at 6:00pm with Pastor Mark Braddom officiating. The interment with be 2:00pm Monday, January 25, 2016 at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
