OWNBY, VERLAS J. (LEGGS) - age 72, of Claxton, Tennessee, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014. He is preceded in death by his father, Claude Ownby; and mother, Eunice Ownby. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Stella; son, Verlin Ownby; and special friend, Wendy; daughters, Christina Jenkins and husband Scott, and Darla Carr; grandchildren, Justin, Jesse, Jake, Charlee, and Maegan; brothers, Leroy, Larry Ray, Donnie Lynn and wife Karen; and "Ole Red". Visitation will be at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel Monday, November 17, 2014, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with service to follow at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. David Watson. Graveside service will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849.
