William Edward Strader, age 92, of Knoxville, TN., passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at West Hills Health and Rehab.  William was born in Clinton, TN. on December 3, 1926, to Oscar and Stella Robinson Strader. In earlier years William worked in maintenance at Southern Extract in Knoxville, and also as a truck driver.  He was an Army Veteran and attended Piney Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars in his free time.   He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna Louise Strader, son Ronald Edward Strader, brothers Eugene and Junior Strader, and sisters Eva Baker, Marie McGill, and Edna Schoffner.

He is survived by one son William Allen Strader, daughters Judith Marie Hyde and Katherine Elaine Thomas, all of Knoxville, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM in Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service with military honors will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00AM at Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, Tn. 37849.
