Bennett, Zella (Polly) Elizabeth Kerley of Grass Valley, CA (formerly of Powell, TN and Englewood, TN), passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009, in Grass Valley. She is survived by sons, Bill (Mary) Bennett of Athens, TN and Tom (Paula) Bennett of Nashville, TN; daughters, Carolyn (David) Wells of Knoxville, TN and Connie (Steve) Luce of Grass Valley, CA; grandchildren, Scott Wells of Knoxville, Billy, Ben, and Bo Bennett of Murfreesboro, Honey Bennett of Nashville, and Veronica Luce of Grass Valley, CA. She enjoyed her many years as proprietress of Gay-L Hair Fashions in Powell. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Ben D. Bennett; parents, Marie and A.P. (Dink) Kerley; brothers, Gordon and Jake Kerley; and grandson, Brian Wells. A memorial graveside service will be Thursday, June 18, 2009, at 10:00 am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.
